Responsible for all financial issues and to carry out the preparation of external audits

Implementation of HR policies, assistance with Portuguese and international legal tax issues

Administrative support for the labs, mainly purchase, travel arrangements and E-commerce coordinating with external agents like suppliers, shipping companies and customs.

Awareness raising by: identifying funding opportunities, either national or international, that match your scientific projects or ideas;

Capacity building by: advising for networking to create R&D synergies; providing training to researchers in: funding opportunities; writing of proposals, project management; helping with IP management and strategy; advising for improving researchers’ social impact;

Proposal preparation by: providing guidelines to help researchers understand each call’s requeriments; budget validation before the submission of the proposal; evaluating previous proposals

Proposal submission by: supporting researchers with filling submission forms (when applicable) or filling institutional applications; raising awareness for calls’ deadlines;

Grant decision by: (if successful) assisting the PI with the Grant Agreement; providing guidance to the relevant project implementation services. (if negative) reviewing the proposal’s feedback in order to benefit future proposals; guiding the team to discuss results with the consortium

The process from which an idea generates social and economic value is called Innovation cycle, knowledge transfer (KT) or technology transfer (TT) process. Range of Knowledge Transfer activities:

Promote awareness of the importance of the IP rights, through carrying out training actions on IP&TT;

Promote an entrepreneurial attitude, acting as trainers and mentors in various entregreneurship initiatives such as the NOVATechship® and the R2Value •;

Carry out state-of-the-art searches in patent databases to define the IP rights protection strategy;

Register new rights and manage the IP rights portfolio

Defining the go-to-market strategy and designing the market-driven technology development pathways to mitigate investment risk;

Conduct negotiations of R&D collaborations (collaborative research, contract research – sponsored or service provision) and Technology commercialization (licensing, spinoff).

Training - Master/ PhD Classes, Entrepreneurship course, Seminars, Workshops, Doctoral school, R2Value and other tailor-made opportunities

Non-Disclosure Agreements, Material Transfer Agreement, Research collaborations, Service providing, Consortium Agreements and others

Validation of the scientific outputs in all mandatory PURE categories (Article; Letter; Review article; Book/Film/Article review; Conference Article; Conference contribution; Book; Chapter; Editorial activity), with exception of thesis.

Management of all profiles in PURE;

Helpdesk and Pure training to the FCT researching community;

Scival bibliometric studies, to support the researchers and the Directory (School Board);

Scival data analysis.
