NOVA ID FCT hosts the 7th International Conference on Quality Engineering and Management (ICQEM 2026)
On 2 and 3 July, the Rectorate of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (UNL) welcomed the 7th International Conference on Quality Engineering and Management (ICQEM 2026), a leading international scientific event dedicated to the latest advancements in Quality Management, Quality Engineering, and Organizational Excellence.
Bringing together academic researchers and industry experts from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds, ICQEM 2026 served as a global forum for discussing research and practical developments across areas such as Management Systems, Standards, Lean Six Sigma, Supply Chain Quality, and the methodological challenges of Quality 4.0, including the future of quality in both services and higher education.
The scientific programme opened and closed with Plenary Sessions featuring distinguished experts in the field, complemented by Keynote Speeches offering strategic insights into organizational excellence. Invited Lectures and Workshops provided broader context for the parallel technical sessions, where participants presented Contributed Talks, discussed practical applications, and explored opportunities for new international collaborations.
Beyond the scientific sessions, the conference also included networking events and social gatherings, giving researchers the chance to connect with peers and exchange ideas in a more informal setting. The proceedings from ICQEM 2026 will be documented and made available to the wider scientific community, contributing to the continued evolution of quality engineering practices.
NOVA.ID.FCT would like to thank all speakers, participants, and members of the organizing committee for their contribution to the success of this edition of ICQEM, and looks forward to future collaborations in the field of quality engineering and management.
